Dr. LaWanda Jobe is an urban children’s book author, with a Ph.D. in Education. She was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 7th, and resides in Georgia and Indiana. Growing up during an era where African American characters were limited or non-existent in the children’s books that she read, she vowed to change that. Dr. Jobe is passionate about creating stories for the young and young at heart that focus on children of color.
